Half Japanese

On The Town

$ 5.00 USD

SOLD OUT

In honor of the release of the band's first album in 13 years, the August installment of our 2014 Flexi Disc Series was a new exclusive song from the legendary Half Japanese.

One of the most influential bands in rock history, Half Japanese was founded in the bedroom of brothers Jad and David Fair in 1974. Passionate, fearless, and relentlessly unique, the band influenced countless artists such as Sonic Youth, Neutral Milk Hotel, Daniel Johnston, Kurt Cobain, and many many more. We are honored to release "Overjoyed" - the band's first LP in 13 years.

The band's contribution to the flexi series is "On The Town", an unreleased song from the "Overjoyed" sessions. Produced by John Dieterich of Deerhoof, this track exemplifies all of the unbridled enthusiasm and aggressive positivity that makes this band so special. And as always, the flexi is only available on the fleeting analog format of Flexi Disc in quantities of just 1000.
