The June installment for our 2013 Flexi Disc Series features an exclusive track from WHY? entitled “Bangs”. And I’m pretty excited about this one…
This never-before-heard track is an outtake from the “Elephant Eyelash” era, circa 2005. Almost a proto-version of the tickling, ethereal piano-based songs which would be found on their following album “Alopecia”, “Bangs” is an un-earthed window into WHY? during an accelerated period of development. Old school WHY? fans rejoice!
“Bangs” is limited to just 1000 copies, and was only available as part of our 2013 Flexi-Disc Series. Though it’s sold out, you can sign up for our waiting list here! (make sure you do sign up, because we’ll be allowing some folks on in the next couple weeks – and those who get on will be able to buy this amazing WHY? flexi)
Some of you may remember that in 2012 we released limited edition cassette samplers for each season of the year. Well, we’re a little late, but we are in fact doing this again this year. And we’re happy to announce that the Spring 2013 Sampler is now available!
The cassette sampler is limited to 500 copies on green cassettes, comes with an instant MP3 Download, and features new music by Memory Map, Kishi Bashi, Jorma Whittaker, Dumb Numbers, Child Bite, and David Yow. The cassette is FREE with all physical purchases over $5 through our site (while they last).
And to all of you who have already pre-ordered the Son Lux “TEAR” 7″ this week, don’t worry, you are already getting one :)
