Detroit's freak-wave outfit Child Bite meet up with noise-pop-rockers Stationary Odyssey for this lesson in Phys Ed. The Split EP aptly titled Physical Education contains two songs from each of the aforementioned bands in a bad ass circular silver tin packaging, limited to just 400 hand-numbered copies. The music ranges from post-rocky Slint-ish ballads, to horn section no-wave freak outs. An unlikely combination? Most definitely. Child Bite's music combines punk vigor with avant-garde ideals;in an end product which Paper Thin Walls describes as "Devo or Talking Heads going no wave." Their Joyful Noise debut infuses unconventional sounds with palatable arrangements that end up sounding like an indie-hipster-dance-group with something fundamentally and terribly wrong.
