    Description

    Helvetia is back.

We haven't heard from Helvetia (pronounced “hel-vee-shuh") since we released "Nothing In Rambling" back in 2012. The project (led by Jason Albertini) was essentially absorbed into Built To Spill as full time members. And with the new BTS record under their belt, we now have the first bonafide Helvetia album in over three years.

The new album Dromomania is raw, experimental, and psych-tinged. The songs evoke the simplicity of ‘70s Kinks, with a good dose of Captain Beefheart and the randomness of The Residents.

    But the plot thickens...
Shortly after the release of "Nothing In Rambling", Albertini started recording new material at his home studio. After nearly finishing a new full-length album, a computer meltdown occurred and the entire album was lost. After a long cry, Albertini accepted the loss and moved on to write and record a completely different album, entitled "Dromomania".

However, through a bit of luck and hard-drive-wizardry, Albertini was eventually able to recover the "lost album"... and we decided to include the entire LP as a bonus 12" with the VIP Edition!

So, we are very happy to introduce you to "Dromomania", the new album from Helvetia. And we are especially happy to include our first ever bonus full-length album, "A Dot Running For The Dust - The Lost Sessions". Which is only available with the VIP edition:

    • Limited to 500 hand-numbered copies
    • Pressed on yellow and bone split-color vinyl w/ splatter
    • w/ bonus LP pressed on clear and black split vinyl with bone splatter
    Badass, right?
