Grieving For Our Bones
An ultra limited lathe-cut from Italy's creepiest export: Father Murphy. Produced by Greg Saunier of Deerhoof, the music of Father Murphy abounds with tortured vocals, magmatic drones, sudden outbursts of the blackest chamber music and even occasional childish melodies. This lathe-cut is an extension of the band's recently released "Pain is on Our Side Now" EP, which contains two single-sided 10" records intended to be played simultaneously.
The "Grieving For Our Bones" lathe cut is a combination of two tracks from the EP ("Bones Got Dry" & "Despite All The Grief"), conveniently layered on top of each other. So you can get the full effect of the two songs being played simultaneously without investing in a second turntable.
This is a one-time release, limited to just 68 hand-made copies on clear 7" square semi-flexi disc. Purchase includes an instant digital download (MP3 & WAV).
NOTICE: These are lo-fi records, each 100% hand-made and individually cut in real time using 1940s-era equipment. The audio is not the same quality as a standard vinyl record. Adjustments to your turntable may be required. The record plays best on a turntable that is properly weighted, with a lighter than usual tonearm weight and neutral anti-skating.
