Tropical Fuck Storm, an experimental art-punk quartet from Melbourne, are known for their genre-bending, anarchic sound—an explosive mix of snarling guitars, warped funk, noise-rock abrasion, and tightly wound rhythms. Formed in 2017 after Gareth Liddiard and Fiona Kitschin took a break from their previous band, The Drones – they were joined by Erica Dunn on guitar and vocals and Lauren Hammel pummeling on drums.

Their songs feel chaotic and improvisational, driven by sharp, caustic lyricism and a taste for the surreal. Vocal interplay between Gareth Liddiard, Fiona Kitschin, and Erica Dunn pushes their music to a teetering edge, balancing grit with eerie harmonies and jittery, groove-laden undercurrents. The result is a sound that sits somewhere between punk, experimental rock, and apocalyptic pop: frantic, funny, furious, and unmistakably their own.
